Online registration is closed.

The 2016 APSA Midwest Regional Meeting will be held on Friday, November 4th from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and on Saturday, November 5th from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.  

Who Should Attend:  Anyone with an interest in medicine, clinical research, and a career as a physician scientist. The conference welcomes all trainees in MD/PhD, DO/PhD, MD, DO, health sciences graduate programs, as well as undergraduate students interested in learning more about medical careers and research.

Registration Information:  Registration is open to all interested participants at all institutions regardless of APSA membership. Registration will open on August 1st, 2016 and closes October 22nd, 2016. Click HERE to register.  Registration for the conference is FREE for all attendees. If you decide to cancel your registration, please email CIndy Chou at at least 10 days prior to the conference.


Abstracts and Poster Sessions:  All participants are encouraged to submit poster abstracts for the conference poster sessions. Posters will be automatically entered into a judging competition with cash prizes for winners. Interested participants may submit abstracts beginning August 1st, 2016 and ending October 22nd, 2016. Abstracts are limited to one per registrant and the registrant must be the first author. Please limit abstracts to 300 words, and include title, authors, and affiliations. We recommend posters no larger than 32" x 48." Registrants may request to enter posters into one of the following categories for judging purposes:

  • Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
  • Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Cancer Research
  • Neuroscience Research
  • Clinical Research and Social Sciences
  • Bioengineering and Drug Delivery

Lodging, Transportation, and Food:  Group-rate hotel rooms are available at the Element Omaha Midtown Crossing Hotel, 3253 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE 68131.  The group rate is available until October 14, 2016 and is subject to availability.  To book your overnight room, CLICK HERE or call 877-element (353-6368) and ask for the APSA Regional Meeting group room. Hotel shuttle services to and from all event locations will be available and breakfast and lunch on the day of the conference will be provided.
