The International Consortium of Clinician Scientist Trainee Organizations is a new collaborative endeavor between the regional clinician-scientist trainee organizations from United States (APSA), Canada (CITAC), Europe (EMPA), Switzerland (SMPA), France (AMPS), and Asia (AMSA). The Consortium hopes to enrich members' training and career development, and promote international collaboration throughout the clinician-scientist pipeline.

A feature of ICCSTO will be regular interactive sessions with the goal of fostering a sense of community within the global clinician-scientist arena. Join us on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 at 12:00 PM EST with our guest Dr. Craig Blackstone as we discuss international clinician-scientist training and the importance of global collaborative endeavors for the advancement of medicine and biomedical research. Dr. Blackstone will draw on his experience as an international clinician-scientist leader and will use the National Institutes of Health Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program and MD/PhD Partnership Program as a case study to a highlight a mechanism for effective and successful global training.
