The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) are pleased to co-sponsor the seventh annual Infectious Diseases Research Careers Meeting, a program designed to help foster the next generation of infectious diseases physician scientists. The two-day meeting for ID fellows and medical students will take place from June 7-9, 2018 in Bethesda, MD. Lodging and travel costs will be provided for meeting participants.

Check out the agenda from the 2017 meeting! Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from established researchers on their personal career development path from medical school to their current research, visit the campus of the National Institutes of Health for a tour and to learn about current NIH research projects, and have the opportunity to share their own research with fellow attendees and faculty at a poster session.

Meeting attendance is extremely limited. A complete application will include: 1) your current CV; 2) a personal statement of interest; and 3) a short statement of recommendation from your research mentor, adviser, or faculty member familiar with your interest in research. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, March 16, 2018, apply today! Selected meeting attendees will be notified shortly thereafter.
